Simon Warder Memorial Squash Tournament Supports Hospice!

Dining and Great Room furniture from Manleys Basics has been delivered to St. Joseph’s Hospice Residence today.

In shades of walnut, iced coffee and dark espresso, the furniture was ordered as part of the Residence Renovation Project. A portion of the proceeds from the 2018 Simon Warder Memorial Squash Tournament was generously donated to Hospice specifically designated to the Dining and Great Room area.

In 2009 St. Joseph’s Hospice opened its beautiful 10 bed residence and after 12 years it required an upgrade.

"St. Joseph’s Hospice is very grateful to the Simon Warder Memorial Squash Tournament for supporting this project and making a difference to our Residence”, said Maria Muscedere, Fund Development & Community Relations Manager.

The new furniture has been designed to avoid creating a clinical feel to the home, while maintaining infection control protocols, as this is of paramount importance during COVID-19.

“While the renovations will be completed in different stages, the quality of care our residents receive will always take precedence," says Kelly Chartrand, Director of Residential Services.

Thank you to the committee and all those who participated in the event.
