Dancing Under the Stars Gala 2021 Postponed

As the world faces the enormous challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, we at St. Joseph’s Hospice of Sarnia Lambton are striving to ensure the important cause you support continues – even as we make difficult, but necessary decisions that will impact our efforts in the short term. As a health service provider, health and safety of our community, guests, staff, volunteers, and supporters is our top priority; therefore, we regretfully announce the postponement of our highly anticipated “Dancing Under the Stars Gala” scheduled for November 6, 2021. It is our sincere hope that we will all be able to safely gather next year in the usual manner, to enjoy friends, delicious food, and the high energy of the event. We have secured a new date and the event is booked for November 5, 2022.

CIMS Celebrates its 30th Anniversary by donating generously to Hospice!

To mark CIMS 30th Anniversary, CIMS has decided to give back to the community. The Corunna division choose St. Joseph’s Hospice as their charity of choice and donated $3,030. We were thrilled to receive this generous donation and wish them continued success in the many years to come. Each CIMS division was donating $3,030 to a charity of their choice. Their support ensures excellence in compassionate end-of-life care for those in Sarnia Lambton. Each and every gift is important to St. Joseph’s Hospice. August 10, 2021 - It has been a month today since my father passed away at Hospice. He had an incredible 12 weeks there, and although the pain of losing my dad is fresh, the grief shifts to gratitude as a result of the experience that we all got to have as a result of his stay there. The care he received was incredible. The staff treated my dad "Bob" with such dignity, compassion, and much appreciated humour, which my dad loved. Dr. Lilly and the staff were able to help make my dad comfortable, and we were given the opportunity to have such quality time with him, where precious memories were made.

There are simply no words to convey my thanks for your care, compassion, and kindness during my sister, Ruth Brown’s, stay at St. Joseph’s Hospice.  When it became apparent that her needs could no longer be met in her home, Dr. Kim asked her where she would like to go….
