Korny Korner Sunflower Sales Give Back to Hospice

A special thank you to Korny Korners/Thurston Family Farms for donating the proceeds from their sunflower sales to St. Joseph’s Hospice. The Sunflower Sales had taken place two weekends in September, September 10th & 11th, and September 17th & 18th. Thanks to Korney Korners and our community members who purchased sunflowers or made a donation, $827.55 was donated to St. Joseph’s Hospice. What a wonderful turnout and donation – we are so thankful for Thurston Family Farms generosity and continued support of St. Joseph’s Hospice! We would also like to say thank you to our St.

On September 14, 2022, members from BAHACON presented St. Joseph’s Hospice and the Alzheimer’s Society each with a $1,000 cheque. We are so thankful for their support and generosity! BRANDON FAMILY CAR SHOW GIVES BACK TO HOSPICE

On September 9, 2022, The Brandon Family presented St. Joseph’s Hospice with a cheque for $3,035.

The Brandon Family hosted their annual car show with proceeds going to St. Joseph’s Hospice on September 3, 2022. Friends and family enjoyed a wide variety of antique cars and the beautiful weather. Thank you to everyone who supported their family car show.

We are so grateful for the Brandon Family’s support of Hospice and those we serve.

SHE’S GOT LEGGZ/SHOE BOX FASHION SHOW IN SUPPORT OF HOSPICE

September 15, 2022

On Tuesday, July 26th Irene Gifford- Kitchen Co-Ordinator at St. Joseph’s Hospice hosted a Fashion Show at St. Giles Church, in partnership with Donna Pinsonneault, She’s Got Leggz and Annette Campbell, The Shoebox. This was a social evening of fun, food, and fashion! Guests checked out the latest in leggings, tops & accessories, while enjoying a refreshment with friends. The $2.00 admission went directly to St. Joseph’s Hospice and a portion of all sales were donated as well.

A total of $629.21 was donated to St. Joseph’s Hospice on September 7, 2022.

Reese’s 3rd Annual Lemonade Stand Raises Money for Hospice

August 19, 2022

For the third year in a row, Reese was inspired to raise money for St. Joseph’s Hospice by holding a lemonade stand complete with delicious lemonade and brownies!

This year Reese had an overwhelming response to her lemonade stand, raising $1,360 for St. Joseph’s Hospice!! Thank you to those who came out, donated and enjoyed a cool drink and delicious treat on a warm, sunny day.

Over the 3 years that Reese has held her lemonade stand, she has raised a total of $1,915 for St. Joseph’s Hospice. That is truly incredible!!

YOUTH PHILANTHROPY IS ON THE RISE

YOUTH PHILANTHROPY IS ON THE RISE:

On August 15, 2022, Sierra came into St. Joseph’s Hospice and donated much needed items for our Residents in St. Joseph’s Hospice Residence. Some of the items she donated were hairbrushes, combs, shampoo, and body wash, to name a few. Sierra held a Lemonade Stand and used some of the money to purchase these items for us! Sierra also donated funds raised to other charities in our community. We are so fortunate to have young philanthropists in our community, like Sierra! Thank you, Sierra, for thinking of St. Joseph’s Hospice!

A Very Successful Year for Blaisfest in Support of St. Joseph’s Hospice

The Blais Family held their annual Blaisfest Duc Cruise supporting St. Joseph’s Hospice. Michelle Blais presented a cheque in the amount of $3,758 to St. Joseph’s Hospice. Money raised from this fundraiser will help us to continue to provide end of life care to those that are terminally ill in our community. Thank you Blaisfest and all those who attended!

One-to-one Counselling Program Wait List Update

August 11, 2022

Throughout the pandemic, the need for one to one counselling significantly increased across the province, and Sarnia Lambton was no exception. In June of 2020, St. Joseph ’s Hospice responded to this growing demand by offering professional one to one counselling in the areas of bereavement, anticipatory grief, and spiritual care to adults and children in the community.

At this time, we have exceeded our capacity for the program, and have had to make the difficult decision to temporarily put a hold on adding additional names of those 18+ to our counselling waiting list.
