Longstanding Traditions

The Sisters of St. Joseph of the Diocese of London and the St. Joseph's Health Care Society have had a longstanding relationship with the community. Health care is a mandate of the Society. St. Joseph's Hospice was developed to enhance hospice palliative care to all persons in Sarnia Lambton who are at the end-of-life together with their support network.

Spiritual Care

Spiritual care is foundational to the tradition of the Sisters of St. Joseph and remains an integral aspect in the day to day operations at Hospice, as guided by our Mission, Vision and Values. Our Spiritual Care Provider is a trained professional who provides direct and on-going spiritual, emotional and social care to residents and their circles of care regardless of faith or life stance. Additionally, our Spiritual Care Provider cares for the spirit of the organization and offers confidential support, debriefing, self-care strategies for all staff and volunteers.
