HERITAGE HIKE FOR HOSPICE IN HONOUR OF BETTY DEE BLACK’S 90TH BIRTHDAY AN OVERWHELMING SUCCESS

Back on September 10, 2023, we held the Heritage Hike for Hospice ~ In Honour of Betty Dee Black, Celebrating her 90th Birthday. We had such a wonderful turnout of friends, family and community members who came out to walk the Howard Watson Trail, in honour of Betty Dee! The walk ended at Mike Weir Park in Bright’s Grove, where we celebrated Betty Dee’s 90th Birthday with cupcakes. Walkers paid a registration fee and if interested, encouraged to collected pledges for St. Joseph’s Hospice.

We are so honoured to share that the event had such an overwhelming success, raising $18,443 for St. Joseph’s Hospice and those we serve. We are so truly grateful for everyone who participated in the Heritage Hike for Hospice and supported Betty Dee in celebrating her birthday.

A special thank you to our committee members who helped organize this event, thank you Betty Dee Black, Susan Mitchell, Stephanie Murray and Linda MacGregor. We would also like to give a big thank you to our sponsors who supported this event: The Ontario Commercial Group ~ Pat Coutu, Jim Pumple and Jesse Pumple; Guardian Real Estate Management ~ Joe Alix; Sylvan Learning Centre ~ Becky West; and Dr. Karen Davis Dentistry.
