Located in the heart of Sarnia-Lambton, St. Joseph’s Hospice is dedicated to delivering wraparound, compassionate care to people living with serious illnesses and their loved ones. Whether a resident in the community or in our hospice, our services are designed to support the full spectrum of palliative, grief, and bereavement needs in our community—from the moment of diagnosis, through end-of-life, and throughout the transition into life after loss.

We are currently seeking a highly organized, adaptable, and collaborative professional to join our team in the role of Care Team Support (C.T.S.). This position plays an important role in supporting the Resident Services team through operational coordination, scheduling support, communication, documentation, and workflow organization within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in business administration, healthcare administration, office administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience providing administrative and operational support in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong proficiency with digital systems and the ability to quickly learn new technologies
  • Experience coordinating calendars, workflows, and operational logistics
  • Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare environment    
  • Experience in healthcare, hospice, or other regulated environments is considered an asset
  • Familiarity working within a unionized environment is considered an asset
  • Experience with HRIS, scheduling, or healthcare systems is considered an asset
  • Alignment with the mission, vision, and values of hospice care
Skills, Abilities and Experience:

· Completion of Fundamentals of Hospice Palliative Care or willingness to obtain within six (6) months of hire

· Regular on-site attendance is required

· Clear Vulnerable Sector Check dated within three (3) months

· Ministry of Labour Worker Health& Safety Awareness in 4 Steps certification

· Government-issued photoidentification prior to employment commencement

Principal Duties:

Reporting to the Director of Resident Services, the Care Team Support position will:

  • Provide operational and administrative support to the Resident Services team
  • Coordinate calendars, meetings, scheduling activities, and operational priorities
  • Support implementation of technology enhancements and workflow improvements
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, meeting materials, and internal documentation
  • Maintain organized systems for tracking, documentation, and follow-up activities
  • Act as a central point of contact for operational and administrative inquiries    
  • Support resident scheduling and related coordination activities as required
  • Collaborate respectfully and professionally with unionized and non-unionized team members
  • Contribute to a collaborative, resident-centered, and team-oriented workplace culture    
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
