REESE’S 4TH ANNUAL LEMONADE STAND RAISES MONEY FOR HOSPICE

September 5, 2023

For the fourth year in a row, Reese was inspired to raise money for St. Joseph’s Hospice by holding here Annual Lemonade Stand in Sarnia.

This year Reese had an overwhelming response and raised $1,700 for St. Joseph’s Hospice! Thank you to those who came out, donated and enjoyed a delicious lemonade!

Over the last 4 years that Reese has held her lemonade stand, she has raised a total of $3,615 for St. Joseph’s Hospice. That is truly incredible!

POPS CAR-B-QUE CAR SHOW SUPPORTS ST. JOSEPH’S HOSPICE

August 30, 2023

The Sarnia Street Cruisers and their team have held their annual car show in support of St. Joseph’s Hospice. This year the event had amazing success, raising $26,882.70 for St. Joseph’s Hospice! Special thanks to all those who organized the event, donated/supported the event, and all those who attended. It is because of very generous donations like this that we are able to offer our services to our community, at no cost.

KITCHEN ACCESSORIES GIVEN TO RESIDENCE KITCHEN

August 29, 2023

Ashley Vaughan, a Senior Pampered Chef Consultant and her clients wanted to provide St. Joseph’s Hospice with brand new cooking tools and supplies. Our Kitchen Coordinator picked out some needed accessories from the Pampered Chef Catalogue for our Residence Kitchen, that will help us continue to make delicious home-cooked meals for our residents. Thank you to Ashley and her clients for their generous support to St. Joseph’s Hospice and those we serve.

IRISH CANADIAN GOLF SOCIETY CONTINUES TO GIVE BACK TO HOSPICE

August 23, 2023

On August 16th, members from the Irish Canadian Golf Society presented St. Joseph’s Hospice with a cheque in the amount of $17,000 that was raised at their Annual Irish Canadian Golf Tournament! The Irish Canadian Golf Society and their members have provided unwavering support to St. Joseph’s Hospice for many years. They have been holding this tournament for 11 years and have donated a total of $67,420 to St. Joseph’s Hospice. We truly are so grateful for their support and dedication to our organization and all those we serve.

THEDFORD QUILTING GROUP SUPPORTS HOSPICE

August 22, 2023

On August 16th, members of the Thedford Quilting Group from Thedford Sylvan United Church, donated 5 handmade quilts to St. Joseph’s Hospice. These quilts will be used for our Residence Suites, providing a home-like atmosphere for our Residents. Thank you to the Thedford Quilting Group for your support and generosity.

SARNIA ELKS LODGE #503 GIVES BACK TO HOSPICE

August 9, 2023

On August 3, 2023, members of the Sarnia Elks Lodge #503 presented St. Joseph’s Hospice with a $300 donation. The Sarnia Elks Lodge #503 came to St. Joseph’s Hospice to hold a meeting in our Education Room, have a presentation about St. Joseph’s Hospice and receive a private tour of our organization. We are very appreciative of the Sarnia Elks Lodge #503 generosity and support to St. Joseph’s Hospice and those we serve.

ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL YEAR FOR BLAISFEST IN SUPPORT OF HOSPICE

August 4, 2023

Again this year, the Blais Family held their annual Blaisfest Duc Cruise supporting St. Joseph’s Hospice. This year was another very successful year for the event and they were able to raise OVER $3,900 for St. Joseph’s Hospice. The money raised from this fundraiser will help us to continue to provide end of life care and related services to our Sarnia Lambton Community, free of charge. Thank you Blaisfest and all those who attended!

TEN NEW GLIDER RECLINING CHAIRS FOR ST. JOSEPH’S HOSPICE RESIDENCE

July 21, 2023

Recently, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #447 and Lambton Mutual Insurance Company each donated funds to purchase 5 Glider Reclining Chairs, respectively, for our 10 Resident Suites.

These Glider Reclining Chairs will allow for much comfort for both our Resident’s and their visitors, continuing to provide a home-like atmosphere during their end-of-life journey here at Hospice.

St. Joseph's Hospice Receives Additional One-Time Funding

July 14, 2023

St. Joseph’s Hospice is thrilled to announce we are receiving an additional one-time funding from the Ontario Government.

The Ministry of Health is investing up to $147.4 million over three years to expand hospice palliative care services across the province and improve support for hospice residences.

KINSMEN CLUB OF SARNIA GIVE BACK TO HOSPICE

July 13, 2023

On July 10, 2023, members of the Kinsmen Club of Sarnia presented St. Joseph’s Hospice with a cheque in the amount of $2,798.73. This donation was raised through the Kinsmen Club of Sarnia’s 50/50 draw that took place at the Sarnia Kinsmen Ribfest. Thank you to everyone who supported the raffle and a special thank you to the Kinsmen Club of Sarnia for thinking of us. Gifts like this help us ensure that those in need in our community have sccess to the best end of life care, with both compassion and dignity.
