St. Joseph’s Hospice of Sarnia Lambton is excited to announce that the Ace of Spades has been “caught” in our Catch the Ace Progressive Lottery. The lucky winner, David Bishop, took home an amazing prize of $25,253! David Bishop’s winning ticket #PP-1710753 was drawn from the electronic generator and he chose Card #42 which revealed the Ace of Spades! (in photo from left to right are; Quinn & David Bishop)
He expressed his shock and excitement, telling the Hospice staff, “I couldn’t believe I won the Progressive Jackpot. I bought the tickets to support the Hospice cause. Both of my grandmother’s end-of-life journey was at Hospice and I was happy to support St. Joseph’s Hospice with the Catch the Ace Lottery.”
“We are so excited for David, as he has been an amazing supporter of Catch the Ace as well as other fundraising initiatives of St. Joseph’s Hospice. I not only wanted to congratulate David but thank him for supporting the Catch the Ace and of course St. Joseph’s Hospice,” said Director of Fund Development and Community Relations, Maria Muscedere. Each year St. Joseph’s Hospice is required to raise $1.6 million in fundraising dollars in order to keep all our programs and services free of charge to the community of Sarnia Lambton.
Larry Lafranier, Executive Director of St. Joseph’s Hospice said, “We are incredibly grateful to our community for supporting the Catch the Ace Lottery draw and so happy to see that David, was the lucky person to catch the Ace of Spades and win the jackpot”.
Lesley Coene, Fund Development Coordinator, added, “We are so thrilled with the success of our Catch the Ace Lottery and how the community rallied around to support this event and cause. We couldn’t have done it without all our volunteers and community supporters who helped us spread the word.
