Dear Friends of Hospice,
As the world faces the enormous challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, we at St. Joseph’s Hospice of Sarnia Lambton are striving to ensure the important cause you support continues – even as we make difficult, but necessary decisions that will impact our efforts in the short term.
As a health service provider, health and safety of our community, guests, staff, volunteers, and supporters is our top priority; therefore, we regretfully announce the postponement of our highly anticipated “Dancing Under the Stars Gala” scheduled for November 6, 2021. It is our sincere hope that we will all be able to safely gather next year in the usual manner, to enjoy friends, delicious food, and the high energy of the event. We have secured a new date and the event is booked for November 5, 2022.
Following the successful Online Silent Auction held last year, we will once again be holding one this year. As more details become available regarding the planned Online Silent Auction, they will be posted on our social media. The auction will be open October 18 to November 16 on Sarnia Auctions.
As this pandemic has shown us, we are indeed living in a global community. More than ever, our lives are intertwined, and our efforts to help others are connected to our own progress. This reality is at the heart of the Hospice Vision: “An empowered community compassionately supporting the grieving, the dying and those caring for them.”

With vaccination efforts in full swing, the world is opening up slowly; we hope to be able to hold the in-person Gala on November 5, 2022…save the date.
